I have found, that sometimes I've finished shooting something and when I go to capture it onto my computer, the tape jams in the camera and the camera shows the message "Eject, Eject, Eject" on the LCD screen. Here is a method for re-winding the tape so the camera will be able to play the tape.

You have to be careful so as not to break the tape and there are several parts to the miniDV tape that have locks. By manipulating the various parts, you can re-wind the tape to a safe area either before or after the jam, and capture the video for editing.

We shot this in our iMovie class at the Pacific Grove Adult school where I teach Photoshop CS3.
